Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"Sandra, was my waitress was very friendly and pleasant. The food was good, and everything was delicious. The ribeye steak wasn't very large. I also ordered sticky toffee. The overall price is a bit high. The place has a charming Scottish decor and is very cozy."
"An early evening meal, served promptly and attentively throughout by Tia, with good quality food and drink. Quiet background music gives atmosphere without intruding, and the corny Scottish tropes are presented humorously (everywhere!!)….."
"A cozy comfortable dinner with a fun atmosphere. The decor was nicely done, considering it was very much a caricature of Scottish things. It was a nice meal."
"We loved this restaurant so much, We came back twice! The baked camambert is delicious, along with the Scottish salmon. The service was friendly, Magda and Natalia took great care of us! Quiet, comfortable atmosphere."
"A beautifully kept place with great attention to detail . The staff were genuinely kind and attentive, making us feel very welcome. Traditional Scottish dishes of excellent quality and fair prices — everything tasted homemade and full of care. We keep such fond memories of this spot from our visit to Inverness."
"We loved the food so much at lunch that we went back for dinner! Natalie was our wonderful waitress. We neglected to make a reservation for dinner, but the manager recognized us from lunch and found seats for us by the window. For lunch we had Cullen Skink with a side salad and Balmoral Chicken (chicken stuffed with haggis). For dinner we had Steak Pie and Balmoral Chicken. The staff was so friendly and the murals up the stairs to the toilet are worth the walk. We were too stuffed to try any of the desserts."
"Absolutely fantastic our server Magda was fantastic we never had to ask for anything food was top draw. Would definitely recommended. We are heading home from doing the NC 500 great way to finish off. Matt & Leigh xx"
"Wow wow wow! Food was phenomenal. This was our first time visiting Scotland from the states. I had the salmon and it was so delicious. My husband ordered the stuffed chicken with the whiskey gravy on the side. We ended up both using that gravy and it was incredible. Highly recommend getting that gravy. Our server was Magda and manager John were so patient and courteous. I will most definitely be back if we ever visit the country in the future."
